this is the mint toy museum at seah street. i had fun walking through five storeys of toys and would have played with them if they weren't behind the glass walls. i recognized a few of the toys that brought back fond memories of my early childhood years although most of the time i had wanted to exchange my gifts of dolls and dresses for my brother's toy trains and airplanes, cowboys and horses.
what a wonderful place! i love vintage toys. we have a fantastic gourmet/hippy pizza place in town that has a shop in the back with old vintage toys for sale. it's my fave place to pick up little treats for the nephews ;) great shots!
Amazing! I like how these shots mirror the vintage essence of the toys. This place looks like a lot of fun to browse through and reminds me of a smaller place in the Haight called Giant Robot.
I've never visited the toy museum, but it certainly looks interesting! I love the cars, and I agree, boys' toys are much more fun. I used to play He-Man and Ghostbusters with my brother all the time :)
I was just thinking when I was looking at the photos that it would be so fun if you could play with them! Shame!

ReplyDeleteI especially like the little vintage things, the Mickey Mouses and cars. This is so nice.
