We spent Sunday afternoon visiting the Peranakan museum and
loved the artist Shirley Soh's work on “What change should we embrace if we are to keep up
with a changing world?” She collaborates with inmates from the women’s prison to think about change and
encourages them to use their sewing skills to illustrate their concerns on
pieces of linen. There's just so many untold
stories behind these pieces of cloth. Stories of sadness and I'd like to think stories of hope as well.
